BLG Hub ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your data when you use the BLG Hub platform. This policy complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including: your name, email address, gamertag, profile details, and any content you submit (such as hub descriptions or dispute evidence). We also collect information automatically, including: device information, IP address, browser type, pages visited, and usage patterns through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and improve the Platform; manage your account and hub memberships; run tournaments and calculate Trust Scores; communicate with you about your account, updates, and promotions (with your consent); analyse usage patterns to improve the user experience; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Supabase (EU - Amsterdam region). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level security policies, and regular security audits. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with: service providers who assist in operating the Platform (hosting, analytics, email delivery); hub owners, to the extent necessary for hub management and tournament administration; law enforcement or regulatory bodies when required by law. All third-party service providers are contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

7. Your Rights Under POPIA
As a data subject under POPIA, you have the right to: access your personal information held by us; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information; object to the processing of your information; withdraw consent for marketing communications; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. 8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes. Anonymised data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. Users between 13 and 18 require parental or guardian consent.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Platform or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
